His email address should be in the "from" section of the email he sent.
The way mailing lists work is that members send emails to the list, and
the emails get sent to everyone else *by* the list.. but the author's
email is usually still visible to everyone. It's just a feature of
modern smart email clients that they "know" to reply to the list rather
than the "author".

You can manually reply to the author by getting their address from the
"from" or "sender" field, and writing an email to that address.

I'd include his email in this list, but that would expose him to
ubiquitous email-harvesting programs; google groups does a reasonably
good job of hiding email addresses from non-members unless you post them
in an actual email. :P
