Title: Teradata Cloud Provisioning Engineer
Teradata is seeking a candidate with at least 3 years experience in configuration management. In this role the candidate will define provisioning procedures for a myriad of software products for deployment in the Teradata Cloud. The Teradata Cloud is a state-of-the-art Software as a Service solution providing a full range of Business Intelligence products in the cloud.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Develop and maintain programmatic provisioning procedures that drive the deployment of Teradata Cloud offerings.
Understand SaaS offering options and translate them into software and hardware configuration options.
Understand configuration options and requirements of each Software as a Service offering in order to develop provisioning procedures.
Develop configuration management processes and protocol to address all Teradata Cloud offerings.
Develop security hardening procedures for deployed solution that comply with ISO, PCI, HIPPA and FedRAMP security standards and Teradata Cloud security policies.
Work with automation engineers on continuously making the system more autonomous with tools like Puppet.
Work on design and development of infrastructure management tools
Manage continuous deployment processes and coordinate feature rollouts
Maintain, troubleshoot, and configure cloud computing and big data environments based on a number of open source and commercial products
Provide tier 3 support for Teradata Cloud Operations team
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
US Permanent Residence / Citizen/ EAD
BS in engineering, computer science or related discipline
3+ years experience with Linux and Windows system configuration and management
3+ years experience with shell scripting and Perl programming experience
Knowledge of SaaS security principles and practices
3+ years experience with network configuration
Preferred Qualifications:
Data warehousing
Teradata Database configuration
Teradata Aster Database configuration
Hadoop configuration
Virtualization configuration and management
