Oracle Database Engineer
6-9 months
Framingham, MA
Senior level Database engineer with Oracle PL/SQL skills.
Responsibilities:
The engineer will work closely with development, database engineering and production DBAs to implement, deploy and support new and enhanced features for the enterprise platform.
Develop and support routine and ad-hoc database jobs and reports Participate in project planning sessions
working closely with business analysts and team members to fully understand and analyze business requirements Work effectively with other teams (e.g. DBAs, system administrators, front-end developers)
Work with technical staff to analyze and understand problems with complex software systems and resolve them Resolve customer complaints and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements
Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in Software/Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer/Information Sciences or Mathematics (willing to accept foreign education equivalent)
seven (7) years experience in Job Offered or seven (7) years experience in the design and development of systems for the healthcare industry and/or healthcare insurance industry.
Experience with RDBMS/SQL fundamentals, including database design, DDL/DML and DTL
Experience developing stored procedures and functions using Oracle 9i/10g/11g & PL/SQL
Experience tuning databases for optimal performance, fine tuning Oracle stored procedures and packages
Strong analytical, problem solving and planning skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast paced environment, on multiple concurrent projects, manage conflicting priorities Flexibility to adapt readily to changing business needs
Team player who is delivery-oriented and takes responsibility for the team's success Enthusiastic, can-do attitude with the drive to continually learn and improve
Desired Skills (preferred, but not required):
Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) Experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) Experience with SQL Server Reporting services (SSRS)
