It depends on what sort of synthesizer you buy. It looks like the cheapest ones that you can buy that may or may not work start around $15,000. The $1,000 items listed on ebay don't work. But if you were to buy some refurbished or new synthesizer, you're looking closer to $50,000. So, that's a lot of primers - at least a few thousand.
