I'm not sure why this thread was started here. But just a heads up bitcoins are not as secure or anonymous as some people would like to believe. All transactions using bitcoins are logged so even if you connected using tor, ssh, or other proxies if they wanted to track you down they could by checking the logs which is shared in the system. Besides tor isn't safe in protecting privacy either, all it takes is one malicious node and they can track the originating and terminating nodes aka sender or receiver.  Which is what they do right now. There might be a few who get through maybe the feds in that area are just lax. I would cite some sources but I'm not sure if it was from shmoocon, defcon, or ccc. cheers
