Cathal, you gave me some inspiration to really get this plant PEG
transformation thing down packed and turn it into the "my first GMO"
kit of sorts for plant biotech. Granted the regulations for eukaryotic
are much crazier and creating your own modified plant may cause some
ruckus if the species is weedy or invasive in any way. Even if there is
no realistic way of making it into a kit so beginners, or maybe the
intermediate amateur biologists can hack a plant. I see the main
limiting factor is sourcing agrobacterium. Hopefully it will get
deregulated soon but until then just crossing state lines with the
bugger is a felony. Until then I would rather just use PEG and develop
a near foolproof protocol anyone can use. Thanks for putting in all the
effort in developing your great looking kit. I really hope it reaches
goal soon. Im saving up to front some capital towards the campaign.
Best of luck to you and keep up the fantastic work! :)

PS my apologies for going off topic.

I've seen this question so many times I've decided to answer it in the
most comprehensive way possible. See the crowdfunder in my signature. I
promise to make it as trivial as possible to make your first Genetically
Engineered Bacterium, and for it to be hackable so you can build
projects on top of it, too. :)
