POSITION:  SNR. SHAREPOINT DEVELOPER

DURATION: 5 MONTHS    

LOCATION: NEW YORK CITY (Local)

INTERVIEW: FACE-TO-FACE 

 

SCOPE OF SERVICES  

 

•        Perform full life cycle SharePoint 2013 management including design, development and architecture using C#, .NET Framework, HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, XML and MS-SQL Server

•        Migrate SharePoint 2007 content and workflows to SharePoint 2013.

•        Create/maintain new enterprise solutions based on SharePoint 2013.

•        Expose SharePoint content to client applications.

•        Understand business domains and work closely with business units to create customized enterprise SharePoint solutions.

•        Integrate MS-Project Server and Team Foundation Server.

•        Operate SharePoint farm environments.

•        Collaborate with IT operations on production issues and changes.

•        Demonstrate SharePoint capabilities to the business users and provide client training.

•        Carry out capacity planning for various farm deployments and plan/deploy global farms.

•        Configure various SharePoint services such as Search, Excel Web Services, Content deployments, etc.

•        Work on search index strategies, farm user profiles, and security strategies for clients.

•        Implement various authentication schemes such as Windows Authentication, Form Based Authentication, etc.

•        Manage and maintain clients' SharePoint sites using solid understanding of the latest SharePoint 2013 techniques and web design best practices.

•        Identify and learn appropriate software applications used and supported by the clients and facilitate the integration with SharePoint where possible.

•        Assist in leading the development of customer facing/high availability web projects.

•        Interface with clients to gather requirements and troubleshoot work issues.

•        Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.

•        Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.

•        Work closely with business analysts, subject matter experts and development teams in design, development, testing, implementation, and support of application projects.

•        Participate in the software testing process, including identification and resolution of defects.

•        Contribute to and support roll-out strategies.

•        Participate in and contribute to formal/informal technical reviews and presentations.

•        Understand high level application architecture/design, network design, performance constraints and security frameworks.

•        Apply technical knowledge to determine solutions and solve complex problems.

•        Research, present and/or make recommendations on technical issues.

•        Explore new ideas and initiatives that encourage innovation.

•        Take inputs from reporting manager(s) and appropriately apply comments/ feedback.

•        Accurately estimate time required to complete development tasks.

•        Collaborate with diverse teams.

•        Demonstrate the ability to cooperate with a variety of people and achieve results.

•        Proactively initiate, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with team members.

 

 

MANDATORY SKILL/ EXPERTISE:

  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent, in a technology related field or other degree preferred.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience as SharePoint Administrator.
  • 5 years of experience working with C# and .NET Framework.
  • 3 years of experience with HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, XML.
  • Ability to develop and deploy SharePoint solutions including web parts, web security, and custom SharePoint controls.
  • Excellent knowledge/experience of SharePoint 2013 Object Model.
  • Excellent knowledge/experience working with WCF Services and WebAPI.
  • Experience working with applications for SharePoint.
  • Excellent understanding of the Out of the Box SharePoint 2013 capabilities.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint 2013 web parts, workflows, and InfoPath.
  • Very good understanding of SharePoint 2013 security.
  • Experience working with PowerShell.
  • Working knowledge with SQL Server 2012.
  • Working knowledge/experience with Visual Studio 2013.
  • Good knowledge of SharePoint best practices.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making and problem solving skills.
  • Good communication, presentation and leadership skills.
  • Team player who can establish excellent working relationships with peers and other teams.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects as team lead or team member/developer.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and estimate for delivery commitments.
  • Utilize application development environments, tools and methodologies across multiple platforms.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Microsoft Certified Professional.
  • Technically proficient in more than one language and platform.
  • Experience in Javascript frameworks like Backbone, AngularJS.
  • Experience in Responsive design frameworks like Bootstrap.
  • Experience in GIS tools and map integration (ESRI ArcGIS, Google, Bing, Pictometry, OpenGeo).
  • Prior experience in federal/state/local government projects.
