Responsibilities:

·         an exciting opportunity for a motivated senior developer for our front-office IT team.

·         This role will participate in the green field development of a price distribution platform with both external and internal stakeholders.

·         Additionally, this role will build and enhance FIX connectivity to ECNS and other front-office systems.

Required Skills:

·         The candidate should also be a self-starter, highly motivated, and a solid team player but capable of working independently.

·         Candidates must have the ability to interact with all functional roles on the team, contribute solutions and ideas to the problem space and have very good written and oral communication skills.

·         5+ years core Java

·         2+ years core Spring

·         Strong background in object-oriented design and development

·         Experience working on multi-threaded systems.

·         Experience with all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) from inception to deployment and user training

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Must be a self-starter and be able work well in fast paced, dynamic environment.

·         Highly analytical, proactive and detail oriented

·         The candidate should have ample server-side experience.. Recent FIX Protocol experience is a must.

·         Must be able to work effectively with clients and team members in other locations.

·         The candidate should have experience with the entire SDLC cycle.

·         FIX protocol experience.

Preferred Skills:

·         Demonstrated use of Design Patterns is a plus.

·         Experience developing and supporting order execution or real-time market data

·         Google Protobuf experience

·         Apache Camel experience

·         Messaging experience

·         Linux experience

·         Apache Maven experience

·         SVN or like source control.

·         Any eTrading experience is a huge plus.
