Role: Network Security Analyst
Location: NY 
Duration: Approximately one year 

SCOPE OF SERVICES: 

The Level 3 Senior IT Security Analyst will be a resident engineer on site working out of 2MTC, Brooklyn. Resource will Work with the IT Security Operations team to plan, design, and implement security solution as part of the IT Security APT initiative. He / She will be the resident subject matter expert on the RSA Netwitness, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA security appliances and Juniper Remote Access solution implemented at DoITT. The primary job responsibility of the engineer would include configuring  production appliances to include application of necessary software updates, network configuration, device interconnection configuration and user account configuration; verify basic system functionality to include traffic capture and proper data flow through the various system modules delivering on the technical goals of the Security Analytics project, which are: providing expert advice and guidance during the implementation of the solution; tuning the system to perform optimally by providing necessary inputs to DoITT project team consisting of employees, consultants and project manager.

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• At least 8 years of high level experience as an IT Security Analyst
• Experience with RSA Netwitness
• Experience with Checkpoint Firewalls
• Experience with Cisco ASA security appliances
• Experience with Juniper Remote Access
• Experience with TACACS
• Experience with DNS

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• CISSP
• Situational awareness and the agility to adapt to the changing threat landscape.
• Key knowledge areas include an in depth understanding of network topologies and communications protocols.
