The Ancient Digger |
Posted: 23 Jul 2010 08:38 PM PDT As many of you have noticed, many changes have occurred on the Ancient Digger Archaeology and History Site. We have a new logo along with a new color scheme. I've been wanting a logo that embodied what I stand for and included little pieces of history all within the artistry. Artist Jerry Presnell, designed the logo for me. Jerry Presnell studied at the Art Center School in Los Angeles, graduated from the American Academy of Art in Chicago and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree at the University of Illinois. He has exhibited in numerous cities, including Chicago, Illinois, Rochester, New York, Hollywood, California, and Dayton, Ohio, in addition to Florida. His work hangs in locations around the country. I took the black and white image, and using my amateur hands, added a bit of medieval coloration so to speak. It's a far cry from what Jerry Presnell presented me, but I wanted a splash of color on the site. The banner on Ancient Digger Archaeology incorporates the entire logo on the far left side, along with a background image, and a close up of the scroll. If you look closely, you may even see the face of an artist hidden in the banner. Let you're imagination run wild. If you'd like to see more of Jerry Presnell's work, check out his artist's page. What do you think? |
