Open Access Overload

Howdy Yall,
I've noticed a number of open access repositories and journals popping up of late, F1000research being the latest. And while this is hands down a good thing, it also brings up a possible access problem. Before, one only had to search pubmed for bio/med or arxiv for phys/math and you could be fairly certain you were searching most everything. But now, pretty much anyone can launch their own journal/repository (Heck! I'm looking into launching a Citizen Science one as I type this). So rambling aside what do yall see as a solution for this? Mendeley? Google Scholar?
