Making sulfuric acid on the cheap from copper sulfate found as root killer at hardware stores is pretty easy, and also involves simple electrolysis and pretty colors.

and nurdrage has more videos on nitric acid.

You can also get cheap sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid (although I don't think concentrated) at hardware stores again, used for stone masonry.
