The guys and gals at Boston bioproducts are selling a complete plasmid isolation set for 286 bucks. 500mL of each buffer. They work wonderfully well. I just tested them using the standard quiagen protocol and it worked beautifully. I also used the same procedure for plant gDNA extraction and got good yields too. If you supply the silica columns you can get, assuming 500uL of each buffer per prep, 1000 preps for the cost of 100. This is a generous estimate but you get the idea. If sydlabs gets on the ball again you can buy spin columns from them for dirt cheap. Enjoy :)

PS: I'm not affiliated with Boston Bioproducts in any way. I just really like the company and their prices!
