Location : Schenectady, Albany, New York
Duration : 6 Months

Job Description :

Total 5 -7 years of IT experience in DWBI environment which should include 2+ years as Cognos Technical Lead / playing the lead role for a 3 to 5 member team
5 years of Cognos in DW/BI experience which include 2+ years as Cognos Technical Lead
Preferably worked on Cognos 8/10.x version and working knowledge of any ETL tools (Datastage or Informatica)
Hands on experience in Cognos 8/10.x development, performance tuning and deployment across platforms (unix/windows)
Should be able to provide Technical direction/ solution to the team on the projects
Should be able to provide Cognos training to associates
Experience or exposure in Cognos Upgrades from Cognos 7/8 versions / Migration projects to Cognos 10.x
Should have strong expertise in Requirement gathering/analysis, Data modeling, design and creation of reports/ Cubes /dashboards /reports that provide insight into a business's performance
Should have knowledge of SDLC/ Agile methodologies
Should have independently lead at least one end to end implementation experience
Exposure to Administration activities a plus
Should have Client facing skills
Strong client handling & interpersonal skills
Good exposure to Project Management skills with experience in estimation techniques.
