Job Description:

Overview

Under the direction of the Project Manager and the Director of Data Integration, the ETL Developer will use DataStage. Responsibilities will include designing and programming extract, transform and load (ETL) functions within a DataStage and ESB SOA architecture and an Oracle platform. This position requires candidates to have deep knowledge and experience with using DataStage in a large scale environment. The candidates will work with Data and Solution Architecture teams, Business Analysts and vendor Application Developers to define and program ETL solutions. The ETL Developers collaborate with Business Analysts, Data Modelers, Data Analysts, Testing Team and Solution Architect to successfully implement and maintain data transformation— including data loads in batch and realtime—interface designs and standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Program in DataStage

·         Program in SQL - Oracle

·         Develop ETL batch and realtime jobs

·         Develop interfaces between DataStage and SOA ESB realtime

·         Develop all ETL from staging to ODS and Master Data

Minimum Core Competencies:

·         DataStage expertise

·         Good ETL development skills

·         8+ years of satisfactory full-time programmer analysis experience with at least 4 years as a specialist in DataStage and ETL development and implementation

·         A minimum of 4 years of full lifecycle ODS and DW experience in large-scale programs

REQUIREMENTS

Skills:

·         ETL Development

·         IBM DataStage

·         Oracle

·         Excellent knowledge of SQL (knowing the tools will not be enough)

·         Performance optimization

Experience:

·         A minimum of 8 years' experience including at least 2 enterprise level data solutions. Experience with IBM DataStage, SOA, Deep understanding of relational Oracle DBMS and SQL

·         A minimum of 4 years of full lifecycle ODS and DW experience in ETL data integration efforts in large-scale programs.
