Role : Java Architect
Duration :6 month contract
Location : Colchester, CT
Interview : Phone then In person if possible

Locals preferred 

Responsibilities:

·         Define and drive all aspects of design

·         Work with a development team in a technical lead and advisory capacity

·         Collaborate with Product Managers, designers, and other technical development resources during the build and testing process

·         Participate in sprint planning for the development of new features

·         Ability to work independently solving technical problems

·         Document key aspects of the system

·         Report directly to the President

Requirements:

·             Experience in Java, Spring (Spring 3 web MVC preferred), Hibernate, Tomcat, and MySQL required

·             Software development lifecycle / Agile methodologies

·             Collaborate with the product managers to understand scope, requirements, and use-cases for features

·             Sports and fitness experience - swimming, running, cycling, team sports, etc. - at any level

Additional "nice to haves": 

·             Experience working with the ANT+ SDK

·             C / C++

·             Web services

·             non-sql databases such as DynamoDB or Redis

·             HTML / Javascript

·             Subversion

·             Netbeans 7+
