[DIYbio] La Paillasse is coming to the US

Dear DIYBio friends, dear all,

La Paillasse is the first biohackerspace in France and our community is growing larger over time while being surrounded by a great and diverse ecosystem in Paris and in Europe.

In that direction, we wish to create and establish a link between our community and other DIYBio communities around the world.

With this purpose in mind, we decided to go on an adventure: a tour of all biohackerspaces in North America. We think the best way to get to know each other better is by meeting, talking and working toward sharing our experiences and practices!

In that purpose, we have given a mission to two froggies who became our ambassadors for this project: Aurélien and Quitterie.

Aurélien has already travelled across the West Coast, as a photo-reporter, visiting biohacklabs, meeting biohackers and doing photo-reporting.

Quitterie, here in Paris, is connecting people and performing interviews to gather and publish biohackers’s portraits on La Paillasse blog, to be then shared with the community.

Our next step: We are going to explore the East Coast in April and come to you. Destinations include:
Milwaukee, Detroit, Chicago, Toronto, Montréal, Boston, NYC, Baltimore, etc.

If you are in these locations, feel free to contact us: we will come and visit you with pleasure.

Best regards,

Thomas Landrain
Co-founder and president of La Paillasse
