Role  Windows Migration engineer

Location Los Angeles, CA

Duration 12 months

Locals preferred

Overview:

Consultant will plan and lead the migration of Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2012 across the enterprise.

Perform upgrades to new software

• Plan migration

• Perform migration to new software

• Perform daily maintenance

·                     such as checking for alerts and ensuring correct notification

·                     acknowledging alerts

• Reporting

Requirements:

·         5-7 years of experience with Windows Servers

·         Experience with both 2003 and 2012

·         Experience migrating from 2003/2008 to 2012

·         Excellent communication skills

·         LOCAL preferred

·         Windows scripting experience, patching, task automation and deployment

·         Perform performance analysis and tuning where appropriate.

·         Excellent communication/written skills and a strong work ethic

·         Good writing skills and ability to multi task in the support of this project
