Role OBIEE Developer

Consultant rate must be all-inclusive of travel & expenses. Must be local or willing to relocate at own cost to Bay Area.
The Business Intelligence Consultant will participate in the design, development, and implementation of customer BI solutions utilizing 3rd party BI tools. The BI Consultant also works with clients to understand, analyze, and refine the application requirements and, where needed, provides guidance on selection of BI tools and methodologies. Once the design has been validated and endorsed by future users and IT, the BI Consultant will turn it into a working and optimized application. The BI consultant will unit test and deliver the application for an integration test. The BI Consultant demonstrates a high degree of BI tool expertise and development skills. The BI Consultant may be the Lead Consultant on a project.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Architect, design, code, and implement scalable components and reliable applications in a high traffic data warehouse environment using the latest technologies following engineering best practices.
Demonstrates thorough abilities to interact with end users to understand and document business and functional requirements for complex projects, including full software development life cycle, DW/BI/ETL tools and other related technologies, including:
Enterprise data management, data warehousing and/or business intelligence; data modeling, integration and/ or synchronization, quality, security, conversion, and analysis; database administration; and/or enterprise data management policies, procedures, compliance and risk management. This includes a minimum of having participated in two full life cycle implementations.
Architecture, design and development of enterprise business intelligence and data warehousing solutions, including utilizing leading ETL/BI tools and the ability to architect a solution.
Design and development of data cleansing routines utilizing typical quality functions involving standardization, transformation, rationalization, linking and matching that leverages knowledge within data, master data, metadata and technology management.
Creating and modifying Intelligence Dashboards and Guided Navigation Links within Intelligence Dashboards.
Using OBIEE Delivers to configure, schedule, and deliver Personalized Alerts to Intelligence Dashboards via Intelligence Agents.
Performing administration tasks related to the development and configuration of Intelligence Dashboards.
Customizing the OBI EE web user interface.
Integrating OBIEE applications with Custom Applications.
Creating, modifying and filtering requests, and format results in OBIEE Answers.
Administration of OBIEE and OBIEE Web Catalog.
Configuration of the OBIEE Relationship Management Warehouse for Global Deployments.
Configuration of ETL maps to selectively refresh the OBIEE Relationship Management.
Analyze, modify and unit test software in support of customer issues.
Provide third level customer support.
Analyze and develop designs for enterprise systems (applications, databases, data warehouses) to meet business requirements.
Collaborate with business and Systems Analysts to analyze business requirements and develop technical design specifications.
Support Architect and contribute to strategic implementations of enterprise products and solutions.
Lead or perform proof-of-concept initiatives in new technologies.
Design, implement and maintain XML parsing modules and their interaction with application logic.
Develops and communicates plans/objectives to others.
Good problem solving skills required.
Extensive experience troubleshooting Systems Integration issues.
Contribute to team coding standards and monitor the codebase for compliance.
Contribute to and expand in-house documentation, such as instructions to deploy test application servers, configuration of datastore connections, build and deployment notifications and other technical documentation.
Requirements
6-8+ years relevant IT experience or combination of experience and education.
5+ years’ experience with Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) or OBIEE tools/architecture in large environments.
Expertise with SQL and PL/SQL.
Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work well independently or in a team environment.
Establish and maintains effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Flexibility and ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
Self-motivated, well-organized, and detail oriented.
Substantial skills with XML and XSD (XML Schema Document) schemas.
Experience with formal software processes and lifecycle requirements.
Ability to assist in the collection and consideration of required information and data.
