[DIYbio] Help LA Biohackers (by voting for us)

Hi folks! Don't worry, we're not asking for your money. We're just
asking for your vote which will only take a minute of your time.

There is a grant competition run by the Goldhirsh Foundation on the
good.is website giving away ten $100,000 grants to groups in Los
Angeles. LA Biohackers is in the running. Groups with the most
internet votes win.

All you have to do is click a button to help us expand our already
kick ass hackerspace / community lab.

The only catch is that you have to create an account on the website
before voting and then confirm your address by clicking a link which
they will email to you. Be sure to un-check the box for the mailing
list, otherwise good.is will probably spam you. You can also log in
via Facebook if you prefer.

And while you're at it, another bio-related group that I am involved
with is also looking for votes and you can ***vote for both***

It's a plan for a biotech startup incubator. Obviously $100k isn't
enough to build a biotech incubator from scratch but hopefully this
will be the beginning of something much larger in LA. The 100k will
help us get off the ground while we round up support from the city and
local universities - all of which is already underway.
