RE: [DIYbio] Floral dip general information

What do you want to do?

Long ago when i started building my lab it was heard toward a more general purpose but then saw i had a lot of not so useful tools for the specifics of the stuff im interested in no which is 90% plants and some bacteria.

I shop at:
plantmedia.com
Phytotechnology Laboratories
Markergene
EBay
Amazon
Aliexpress
Genemate
And some other random sites for odds and ends. I mostly scavenge eBay and repurpose domestic stuff for lab needs. That and my trusty 3D printer... Makergear M2 is a damn good printer!

Sebastian,
I'm starting to source my supplies and looking at countless seed starter kits, cloning tubes, blah blah. do you have any recommendations on supplies or sources?

Its very crude of you think about it. Just timing the dip to get unfertilized ovaries is a bit tricky but I would not take the time frame stated by papers to be gospel. Those data are for perfect conditions and Arabi is super finicky so unless you have great environmental control (humidity especially).

I've found countless protocols on Floral Dip transformation, but not so much information on the science behind the protocol. Anyone have a nice PDF on the process that goes in depth?  Thx
