Technical Analyst/ SCCM Senior Engineer

The Integration and Deployment Specialist ensures technical integration across multiple technologies/systems/platforms for enterprise solutions. The role reviews, advises and designs standard software and hardware builds, system options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impact on program process and goals. The Integration and Deployment Specialist will play a key role on project teams, either on an advisor basis, or for large complex projects, as a full‐time member of the team, providing technical guidance to project teams in Solution Delivery and/or Technical Management.  The Integration and Deployment Specialist collaborates with business partners, project managers, and other stakeholders to define and implement the project deployment strategy. The role is responsible for managing the implementation of all required infrastructure and applications. She/he will work with QA and Development teams to document and streamline the install process and related methodologies. The Integration and Deployment Specialist supports the project team with all services related to the  planning, design, implementation, consolidation, migration and decommissioning of facilities and associated technologies.

The End User Computing Team manages the design, implementation and support of the desktop environment, which includes Windows 7 workstations, laptops and virtual desktops and will be upgrading these machines to Windows 10 Starting in 2016. Responsibilities include defining hardware standards, engineering and securing the standard desktop platform, architecture and design of our Software Distribution infrastructure and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure. Research, evaluate and provide documented recommendations for new technologies and tools within the Information Technology field (specifically Desktop Technologies).

Required Skills:

•Working knowledge of desktop OS subsystems - process, storage, memory, file systems, etc.

•3+ years of experience engineering and deploying SCCM 2012 platform.

•3+ years experience with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) with recent experience with MDT 2012 Update 1 or MDT 2013

•3+ years developing and deploying unattended operating system installations for workstations/desktops/laptops with an in-depth understanding of hardware-independent imaging capabilities.

•2+ years experience (direct experience, including best practices) in Engineering, including knowledge of computer/network systems infrastructure requirements and standards

•Extensive scripting experience in Powershell

•Experience with desktop virtualization technologies (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure and Application Virtualization)

•Experience troubleshooting and enhancing desktop security and configuration management through Group Policy Objects (GPO) as well as the ability to create custom policies.

•Solid knowledge of the Windows registry, WMI, and file system.

•A solid understanding of networking concepts and technologies including: Ethernet, TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, load balancing, and DHCP are required.

•Should have good written and verbal communication skills and strong teamwork capabilities.

•Must be proactive and take individual initiative

•Must work well with others, be a team player and be involved in collaborative efforts

•Must work well under pressure and be able to adjust quickly to changes in priorities and goals

•Must displays initiative to learn new technologies and resolve issues across the organization and with partners/vendors.

•2+ years experience with System Center Orchestrator 2012

Bachelor's Degree with Major in Computer Science field or Microsoft Certified System Engineer certification and 3+ years of relevant experience. Consultant 4-6 years
