Sr. PL/SQL with Informatica - NYC - Brokerage a must

Looking for very senior candidates with at least 10 yrs of overall experience, LOCAL only and out of Securities Brokerage domain.

Role: IT Senior Developer – PL/SQL with Informatica

Location: Midtown, NYC

Mode: Local only for F2F, NO skype option

Duration: Long Term – 1.5 years

Role Description:

The role will be to enhance the existing applications and provide on-going Level 3 support. The role entails very strong technical hands-on knowledge and ability to provide support for production systems.

This role will also be tasked with working with offshore resources to deliver a quality software code.

General Qualifications:

·         Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering with total of 10+ years of experience

·         Experience in the securities brokerage business, preferably in finance/accounting a must.

·         Experience working in the securities brokerage business, preferably in a product control area and supporting P&L and Reconciliation tools

Required Technical Skills:

·         8+ yrs PL/SQL experience

·         5+ Years  ETL experience, preferably with Informatica

·         Development of Technical Designs working alongside BA and development team lead

·         Proficiency in Unix shell scripting

·         Proficiency in SQL scripting

·         Experience with Performance tuning

·         Development of Test plan, Test scripts and Test documentation for user review and sign off

·         Assist team lead in executing the project plan and meeting due dates

·         Assist team lead and/or own release management of the systems developed

·         Support systems (Level 2 / Level 3) in production promptly and in a professional manner

·         Create support documents for Level 1 support team

·         Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering with total of 10+ years of experience

·         Fully versed with SDLC process including agile methodology

·         The candidate should have a positive outlook, with the personality to work with the development committee as well as present to business or IT senior managers as required.

Nice to have:

·         Experience with Silverlight, WCF, ASP.NET,XML,IIS

·         Experience in writing C# code in multi-tiered, multi-threaded .NET environment

·         Experience with Autosys or other scheduling software

·         Experience with preparing technical and/or user documentation

Qualities:

·         Team player

·         Good verbal and written communication skills; can liaise effectively with both non-technical users and technical counterparts

·         Organized and detail-oriented

·         Analytical, with good problem-solving skills

·         Quick learner, Willing to work off-hours if needed
