How difficult is it to actually order LB powder over eBay or Amazon in your country?
-- One of the hits I see is $34.71 for half a kilogram, which is enough to make 20L of LB broth, or $1.74 per liter.
I know it's fun to plan for how to grow E. coli after the zombie apocalypse when all human civilization (or at least eBay and Amazon) has broken down. But for any real-world application, I would look towards buying dirt cheap and easily available commercial LB powder first.
I know microbiological supplies are much more strictly regulated in other countries though. Just wondering how widespread a phenomenon that is. And how many of those countries regulate LB powder, but not yeast extract?
