Position:              Sr. QA Automation Engineer  (Java , Selenium , Rest API)

Location:              Charlotte, NC

Duration:             12 Months

Description:

SRI Tech is seeking an SDET for one of our clients based at Charlotte, NC. SDET need to ensure that all software developed or procured by client is thoroughly tested before going into production for reliability and for adherence to specifications and client standards. Also need to certify that the production operating environment is properly configured with the right software and settings.

Responsibilities:

Testing:

·         Create and maintain a library of test scripts to validate the function of Client and third party applications. The scripts will be developed from a combination of vendor documentation and / or internally developed specifications.

·         Review application failures and update the testing scripts with the goal of preventing future production failures. 

·         Plan the testing approach, details, effort, and schedule including the order and precedence for running application test scripts. 

·         Conform to department documentation standards, such as using ALM/Quality Center when possible to document the scripts and test results.

·         Be capable of the build and installation of an application with the support of application development, external vendors, and systems support groups.

·         Document defects found and their respective resolutions. Work with the development staff or vendor to resolve the issue. In the case when no resolution is reached at the end of a testing effort, document the remaining defects according to department policies. 

·         Work with the cross functional groups to support User Acceptance Testing and / or Bank Testing prior to production.

·         Develop / Confirm / Test installation and Backout procedures related to the tested item. This will require support from Application Development and / or External Vendors, and the Change Control department.

·         Perform regular regression / failure / performance / capacity / volume tests to ensure the applications and systems can adequately meet SLA criteria for uptime, accuracy, resiliency and throughput.

Configuration:

·         Provide information to the Change Control department to assist in the setup and configuration of systems. Complete ITSM(work ticket) requests.

Change:

·         Monitor ITSM for work items, review and act / approve as necessary.

·         Prepare the ITSM documentation for transition to Production and schedule the installation with the assistance of the Release Management function within Change Control

·         Participate in regularly scheduled cross functional meetings to review proposed implementations  (Currently the Change Control Meeting)

·         Review the implementation instructions with the assigned implementation group

·         Provide implementation support as needed for installations, upgrades, and application tests such as Chips Mandatory tests and Contingency tests.

·         Verify the completion of the ITSM documentation after the completion of the change activity.

Support:

·         Participate in the weekly/week-end team support schedule

·         Participate in the review of current operational issues and their resolution.

·         Assist in support of application issues at the request of Operations and Development. This includes evening and weekend support.

Requirements:

·         4 Year degree in Technology or Business related field, or equivalent experience ( 5 years +)

·         Java and groovy development  experience is highly desirable.

·         Middleware Java webservices development experience. Rest,  Apache CXF, JAX-WS And JAXB, JAX-RS Client API JAX-RS injection, Jersey, Spring MVC

·         Experience in a Linux environment, DB2 CRUD using Rest

·         Experience with message based testing tools such as SOAP UI and IBM Rational Integration Tester

·         Able to analyse technical and design documentation to develop test cases or data

Desired Qualifications:

·         Experience using the HP ALM / Quality Center tools

·         Practical knowledge of Web based applications development and testing

·         Exposure to relational DB tools such as SQL Server, Oracle, or DB2

·         Experience in testing automation with tools such as HP UFT/QTP, Selenium

·         Experience in performance testing message based applications(LR, RIT)

·         Experience with Financial or Credit Card based processing
