Lead/ Senior Windows Engineer

San Jose, CA

6+ Months

 


7+ Years Experience working with Windows Server 2008R2 with focus on troubleshooting application and system errors
3+ Years Experience working with Windows Server 2012R2 with focus on troubleshooting application and system errors
5+ Years with Performance and/or Resource Monitoring using Linux and Windows Server tools and/or scripts
Requirement to utilize "jump host" server to perform remote work.
Requirement to familiarize oneself with organization wide tools and programs required to perform the daily tasks: for monitoring applications, writing scripts and code, writing documents, or searching for information.
Experience using linux OS and command line tools.
Powershell, XML and Bash scripting ability.
Requirement to learn non-Gui methods and procedures to solve traditional Windows Server issues on proprietary application(s)
Requirement to learn and comprehend server topology and infrastructure for proprietary application(s) in Windows Server/NAS environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills that include the ability to formulate questions and request clarification from peers and superiors.
Requirement to understand and utilize organizational wide ticket system to respond to tasks and carefully record completed or in progress work
Requirement to remain flexible and productive during maintenance and/or security down times--e.g while permissions are being granted on one task, move to another task that can be completed in the interim.
Requirement, as needed, to improve upon status quo, where applicable, with the added caveat that your ideas be backed with substantial facts.
Requirement to submit weekly status updates to team and participate in daily team standup sessions to communicate blocks and/or achievements.
Ability to be creative in solving and/or responding to issues while being mindful of priorities, time constraints, and partnership/licensing agreements.Start Time:12:00 AM
