I am quite new in synthetic biology and I was looking at the ways to synthetise DNA. I found this :

Comparing with PCR where we need the DNA we want to replicate, primers, nucleotids and enzyms, I do not understand how they can produce DNA from scratch ...
If anyone was kind enough to explain me ...
