Does the 'assistant' only record audio, and then transcribe it later?
Are you using Mozilla DeepSpeech? Is your platform open, extendable?
Personally transcription seems unrelated to being a lab assistant, and
more general software. Transcribing technical jargon will be just as
challenging in any field, not just lab work.
For a digital lab 'assistant', personally I'd like to see the Google
Glass Enterprise Edition paired with some decent google search
features, including hands-free browsing integration and
text-to-speech. Too often we need to perform simply lookups online
"what is the recipe for X" or perform some calculation "5 grams of HCL
to moles". These are things Google or WolframAlpha already does well,
but Google Glass has gone commercial-only and hands-free is still
apparently a pipe-dream for the rest of us.

We're based in Berlin and are in the process of launching a first version of our application that applies voice recognition technologies and machine learning to record and instantly transcribe lab documentation. Our purpose is to make R&D outcomes more detailed and reproducible, as well as documentation processes easier, faster and more efficient.

Hence, we're looking for test users who would be willing to use our app for a few hours during their regular work at a lab and provide feedback. We know that this requires effort and thus we'd like to reward every test user with a pair of Apple AirPods for feedback on our product. Users from all parts of the world can participate as long as they use the app for their work in the lab. Needless to say, our app is safe and we don't transfer any data to third-parties. You can also request your data to be deleted anytime.
