[DIYbio] ReSeq crowd funder to write new software for HiSeq DNA sequencers

Hey folks,

Hope this isn't against your the rules or etiquette of your group. A commenter on our campaign suggested I post this here. We want to write free and open source software so we people re-use the HiSeq 2000 and 2500 DNA sequencers and have a modest crowd-funder going.

These machines cost over half a million dollars not too long ago but now you can get them very cheaply and it would be a shame to let them go to waste. We still need quite a bit of support to make it happen.

Cheers,

Kaspar
