Hi Tom,
I'm in Los Angeles and among other things, I'm an independent researcher working to define a diy-friendly protocol for agro transformation of filamentous fungi. Most of my research is published on Instagram (@everymanbio) and related website. AGL1 and LBA4404 have both been used in transforming Agaricus bisporus (the white button mushroom) in the research that I'm replicating.
My understanding is that this organism requires a permit, which I do not mind at all pursing. I'm just not sure exactly how to go about it. Perhaps that's something you or someone else in the community can help me make happen.
I have a business / commercial postage address. Please feel free to email me directly if you'd like to follow-up in more detail: josh @ everymanbio.com.
Where are you located? And what do you need the strains for?Are you sure you would not benefit from any other strains?I have with me the following 4 Agro strains:
- AGL1
- EHA105
- GV3101::pMP90
- LBA4404
I received these strains from an eminent university researcher at Purdue, to a shipping address of a faculty member who knows me.I am not sure it will be as easy to send you strains from my DIY / garage address to your address.But I do not mind trying via FEDEX, USPS is almost guaranteed to be NOT delivered....I too am looking for LBA4404 or AGL1 and would be happy to make a donation for the trouble.On Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 6:21:03 PM UTC-7 Tom De Medts wrote:Dear all,Would any of have any of these 4 Agro strains:AGL1EHA105GV3101::pMP90LBA4404If yes, then would you be able to mail me a stab culture of the strain you can share in a sterile screw cap vial, please?Thanks in advance.Cheers!tom--
