[DIYbio] ligation calc. intensity estimation

I'm very bad at estimating things. How important is the value of the
intensity when I calculate how much insert to use for ligation?

I run 1 uL of my sample and 1 uL of ladder on a gel.
For the look of things, lane 3 insert looks about the same as the
plasmid intensity and lane 4 insert looks double the insert.
