Role : SAP BW Lead / Architect
Location : Harrisburg, PA
Start : ASAP

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for designing, developing and supporting the SAP Business Warehouse including InfoObjects, InfoCubes, DSO Objects, DataSources, User Exits, InfoSources, Update & Transfer Rules, and Communication Structures
- Participate in strategic planning for business intelligence solutions by providing recommendations, analysis, pros and cons for strategic choices and direction for SAP BW & HANA Solutions
- Analyze business requirements, needs and objectives and map them to SAP BW / BO processes, solutions and products that are being implemented
- Design and create BW/BI Generic Extractors from the ERP system and other SAP ECC modules
- Explores new technologies and suggests optimal architecture design to include innovative vendor solutions. Plans and runs proof of concepts and trains team in new technology.
- Partners with peers when coordinating initiatives across IS functions; secures the involvement , as needed, to deliver high quality application solutions and support
- Hands on analysis and improvements of existing production processes such as data extraction, data acquisition, query performance and data design.
- Consults with customers across multiple sites, multiple disciplines, and multiple countries to develop BW/BI architecture that supports and enhances the business strategies
- Demonstrates proficiency in areas of business continuity, security and data privacy; ensures systems are designed and built with appropriate levels of protection
- Identifies and evaluates new technologies that can provide competitive business value and marketplace advantage for TE
- Advocates and enforces applicable standards, policies, procedures, and best practices in the implementation and/or maintenance of application or application modules
- Translates business requirements into SAP BW Extractor processes ( SD , MM, FI and PM)
- Lead BW layer Unit and Integration Testing activities and assist in User Acceptance Testing as needed
- Work closely with end users to produce prototypes of Business Analytics solutions
- Work closely with project Business Analyst, Data Architect and BW Developer to ensure that the end to end designs meet the business and data requirements
- Work closely with Project Manager to develop and update the task plan for BI/BW work and to keep the manager aware of any critical task issues and dependencies on other teams
- Develop proof of concept's to showcase BI tool functionality to the end users and management audience including report and dashboards.
Demo Dashboards and Reports to the Business Team members and elicit feedback to refine the BW Deliverables
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Minimum of 7 – 9 Years of Experience with SAP BW development tools ( OLAP, MDX , BW Administrator Workbench ,InfoObjects, DSO, InfoCubes, InfoPackages, InfoSources, Datasources, Extractors, Transfer Rules, Update Rules)
- Minimum of 5 Year's Experience with SAP BW version 7.0/7.3 Data Modeling
- Design and development of data extracts from SAP ECC (SD,MM,FI) and non-SAP systems
- Experience with SAP Business Objects BI Reporting tools is required
- Experience Leading and Managing Large project teams would be a big plus
- Experience with SAP HANA would be a big plus
- Experience with SAP Business Objects Data Services (BODS) is desire
- Knowledge of SAP Business Warehouse ( BI/BW) best practice processes, tools and standard
- Hands-on Experience with ABAP programming is required
- Hands on experience with SAP BW system administration and performance tuning
- Strong analytical and conceptual design skills; strong problem-solving skills
- Must have knowledge of SAP BW technical architecture including related technology e.g. SAP HANA, Nearline Storage, Archiving, etc
EDUCATION:
- · BS / BA in Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Engineering or Equivalent
OTHER KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Exceptional verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business term
- Must have excellent client-facing skills; solid teamwork and interpersonal skills; strong ability to work independently when appropriate
Ability to manage multiple assignments and projects simultaneously with a track record of project completion
