Subject: Neighborhood construction and I smell 'gas'
To: plots-spectrometry <plots-spectrometry@googlegroups.com>
And got onto google to look up my favorite spectroscopy term (raman)
using the search 'air hydrocarbons raman spectroscopy' and voila the
first hit looks like a gem!
GAS PHASE RAMAN SPECTROSCOPY USING HOLLOW WAVEGUIDES
http://d-scholarship.pitt.edu/6505/1/Michael_Buric_Dissertation_2010_v9.pdf
From the abstract, it seems like raman as-is, with the sample being
the wall of a capillary tube. I imagine capillaries like the
microcuvette I posted a week ago might work, maybe they'd need coated
with some metal to keep the light in the cuvette. Something like that
could probably even be fabricated in glass in mass quantities for
pretty cheap, to remove any lines the plastic cuvette would add.
