Hi all,
-- I currently work full time developing immunoassays. The success of assay development largely depends on the quality of your antibody pair. My experience is limited to the development and don't have much knowledge of the upstream processes.
My question is has anyone raised antibodies in your garage lab, preferably monoclonal? Do you have an idea of costs associated? What's the level of work of screening Abs and maintaining cell lines, for example could I handle it myself or would I need an extra set of hands?
Any additional info would be appreciated as well.
Thanks,
Nate
