Have you seen the ant farms made from a transparent gel? I bet you
could make some sort of slime mold farm in a similar manner. Maybe a
hermetically sealed enclosure, with some transparent food source that
slime molds can grow on (but not too fast). Maybe include a magnifying
glass like you get in some high-end biospheres, to study the spore
forming bodies.

And yes, if you can make it small enough, put it on a key chain! :-D
