My main app for such a computer board is network gateway at the
edge of a sensor network field used by field biologists.
besides networking, website interface, translating to IPv6
addresses of radio nodes, it could do data compression as
a sensor board, (sensor node add on card), for nodes with cameras
or sound microphones. For spectrometers, spectrophotometers for
optical density, PCR, etc. I think it is overkill, and better to
use something like python-on-a-chip mosules like STM32 for $20
or Teensy for $20 (an arduino compatible).
