Kappa modeling language tutorial/documentation?

This kappa language looks interesting. I'd like to try it out but it
doesn't seem to be documented for beginners. My google searches are
not giving me useful stuff. If I wanted to learn java, I'd search for
tutorials and I can learn from the ground up. The kappa syntax site
doesn't explain much. My programming skills are low, just some perl
and matlab.

Is kappa a new language or does it build up from something else? Is
there some documentation hidden in the downloads?

I'll install it later today and fiddle around with it.
