It's not really a matter of who will "win". We'll need different
feedstocks in different locations and climates. Algae need a lot of
water and sunlight, and ideally a pointsource of CO2. Macroalgae are a
great feedstock off-shore - you can just roll them in to harvest.
Sugarcane is very efficient where it grows well. Other feedstocks will
turn out to be more optimal in other locations.
