Re: your tips/tricks for biology lab work

I generally reuse gloves unless I'm working in a laminar flow hood...
because if I'm working in there, my point is to keep things really
clean.

Even when I work in the garage, I generally use and reuse gloves...
with all the grease and dirt and metal oxides and harsh organics
involved its pretty dirty... the gloves keep my hands smelling clean
and looking the same unless I rip it while using a tool or something
sharp.

I say it depends on the risk involved, and what level of risk you're
willing to accept. Really toxic stuff, don't play around, don't reuse
gloves... but if you think the gloves are physically fine (no
piercings, nothing melting/seeping through), and if you're careful
taking them off and putting them back on, I'd say there's nothing to
worry about.
