Re: your tips/tricks for biology lab work

For me, it's a matter of waste, not cost.

I use rubber gloves to avoid wastage, washing them and spraying with alcohol between uses. If the experiment involves nasty chemicals or if autoclaving of everything afterwards is necessary, I use disposables.
