I don't know what temperature they usually run at, I havn't used a "real" PCR machine for a while. 


Are you checking for condensation only after they have cooled back down to hold temp?

If you were to open the lid in the middle of a heat cycle I'd guess there wouldn't be any condensation, once the tube/lid is up to high temp.
