Hi! This is my first post, so I hope I don't come across as stupid around here (I know there are quite a few professional people here, it's quite intimidating.) I'm currently in highschool and have learned a lot about dna extraction and the process of making recombinant dna for transgenic organisms, (vectors, restriction enzymes, etc), but I have yet to learn the inside of how you'd do it in a diy-lab setting. I was only interested in doing a basic project with making recombinant dna (bio-luminescent bacteria, etc.) Could anyone help me out, or at least put me in the right direction. This has greatly interested me in the past week, and I'd like to look into it :)
