Job Title: Build and Release Specialist

Duration: 6+ months contract

Location: Hopewell, NJ, US

 

Qualifications:

This role is for a Build and Release Specialist/engineer who has deep knowledge of the integration, testing and release process. 


The technical experience we are looking for includes:
·      5+ years of hands-on build and release experience on projects that use Microsoft Visual Studio for development using C# as main programming language.
·      3+ years' experience working with TFS source control repository.
·      Experience with build and deployment automation using powershell or WSH.
·      Familiarity with Continuous Build & Integration tools and techniques.
·      Hands on web application development experience and solid understanding of Enterprise web application architecture.
·      Deployment of MSI packages on to web and application servers.  Document procedures, sequencing and dependencies.
·      Validate MSI changes and analyze installation logs to determine if assemblies are GAC'd, Events sources are registered, UDDI and Auth Z publishing were successful.
 
§      Creating and modifying WXS file
§      Creating and updating Electronic Product Profile (EPP)
§      Participate in EPP review with engineering team.
§      Troubleshoot build and deployment issues with engineering team and frameworks team, when necessary.
·      Perform smoke tests by running validation scripts and analyze integrity of build and deployment.
·      Use MLIF service tester to test web services.
·      Ensure cross platform build stability and support internal teams with build related issues
·      Assist team with broad knowledge of tools and solutions in order to promote quality driven development and maintain high quality code (e.g., version control, defect tracking, etc…)
