Our client is looking for a Data Modeler. I am forwarding the requirement  please go through it and let me know your availability and interest.

Position: Data Modeler

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Duration: 6+ Months

 

Required Skills:

·         Expert understanding of architecture, functionality of an RDBMS within a data warehousing environment. 

·         Prefer experience with Greenplum, Netezza, Teradata environments. 

·         Prior DBA experience necessary as well as a thorough understanding of data warehousing architectures (Inmon's Corporate Information Factor, Kimball's dimensional structures, star schemas, 3NF. 

·         Modeler must be able to take the functional requirements, locate the required data in the Zions 3NF data warehouse, and model how the data should be represented with a star schema environment to support the reporting requirements. 

·         Must be familiar with Business Objects and how the BOBJ tools will work with the data mart. 

·         Must understand virtual vs materialized views, indexing, partitioning, and workload management features. 

·         Experience within a banking environment is important, though not an absolute.
