[DIYbio] Hello all, just wanted to hi

Hey everyone,

I a fairly new to the DIY bio scene and wanted to say hello. I live near Berkeley and am working on algae based research. I'm am investigating the feasibility of producing fuel from algae. I'm also interested in making batteries and some other petroleum feedstock goods from algae. I am developing protocols to grow algae using recyclable materials to eliminate the need for a lab and to enable third world countries to make fuel in an open source manner.

Right now I'm growing Spirulina platenisis if anyone wants some. Soon I'll be receiving heameotococcus pluvalis, and will be working on that. I also plan to start some botryococcus braunii soon too. If anyone has other strains or BB to donate I would be very grateful. If your interested in my project, I have a mediocre website. Www.algasinc.com

I love the community and want to say I'm inspired by this group! MucH love
