Couldn't you just take the kit back to your home country, and mail the sample from there? That seems like it would be a much more reliable approach.

In my current role I may be able to get access to wet lab materials, is their some standardized container I should try to acquire or can even use in lieu of the contain 23andme sends in their kit?
