ROLE: Performance Test Engineer

Location: Camp Hill, PA

Duration: 6-12 Months Contract

RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPECTED DELIVERABLES:

Performance Test Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that our web applications are efficient, scalable, and stable under various conditions. You will be involved early on in the  project life cycle and will work closely with developers. This is a heterogeneous complex environment which requires someone with a passion for testing and learning new technologies.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

•                     7 years' experience with Design and Developing Test Cases or Units of Work from Use Cases

•                     3 years' experience in developing Test Scenarios and load conditions from Units of Work

•                     Has in-depth knowledge (3+ years) of Load Runner and Quick Test Pro including Release 10 or 11

•                     Has strong working knowledge of Software testing (Functional, Integration, Performance, Quality Metrics).

•                     Experienced in defining Testing Methodologies, Designing Test Plans and Test Cases, Verifying and Validating .NET Web based applications

•                     Be able to analyze performance test results including all metrics captured and report results to various audiences

•                     Demonstrate effective QA implementation in all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).Ability to provide status reports to management

•                     Schedule and facilitate test result reviews with application team

•                     Five+ years of experience in the field of IT with focus on QA and testing of web based applications.

•                     Three+ years creating and executing scripts with LoadRunner with multiple protocols (Web, VB, Winsock, .NET, etc.)

•                     Experience with design, development, and execution of customized LoadRunner scripts and scenarios using various protocols including web, winsock, .net, etc.

•                     Experience with setup and execution of tests in .NET/SQL Server web application  testing environment

•                     Experience in setting up test data required for load tests using scripts

•                     Has good Working knowledge of Automation tools and Expertise in QTP and LoadRunner

•                     Proficient in all cycles of test life cycle from test planning to defect tracking and managing defect life cycle.

•                     Extensive experience in coordinating testing effort, responsible for test deliverables, status reporting to management, issue escalations

•                     Good experience in preparation of test bed, Installation testing, Replication of problems

•                     Experience Developing and Maintaining Test Scripts, analyzing bugs and interacting with development team members in fixing the defects

•                     Strong oral and written communication skills

•                     Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

•                     Ability to coordinate across teams to gather information and resolve issues

DESIRED SKILLS:

•                     Knowledge of public sector, state government  workers' compensation programs and applications is a plus!
