Squid are really hard to keep
So that would be a challenge but not an obstacle. ;)
Well if it would be really possible to keep the creatures as pets, I would get such a giant aquarium.
Or build one, the glass plates can't be that expensive. And I know how to handle Silicone adhesive/glue.
