The super-cheapest way is actually by invitrogen, they do 1kb for 150. I think g blocks are like 500 bp for $99. Thats 15c/bp vs ~20c/bp.
they also do up to 600 pb for $99, so if you have a 1k2 synthon, you can get it for only $200! Provided you want/can ligate and sequence.
Way easier just to have it synthesized for 28c/bp (genscript sale)!
