It's that time again- That is, for BIOTECH 101!

Did Sean's talk whet your appetite for molecular biology?  Ever wonder how scientists and engineers move genes from fish into corn?  Bummed that you missed last BIOTECH 101 class?

Then come to BOSSLAB for two jam-packed days of hands on molecular biology!  This class will be on the 6th and 7th of April from 3:00-5:30.  We will be exploring (and practicing) basic laboratory techniques that are critical in the lab, including sterilization, aseptic technique, pipetting and making media.   We will get hands-on by transforming bacteria with plasmid DNA that makes them turn green!  After that we will extract the DNA back out and look at it with gel electrophoresis.  If you want to see pictures and notes from previous classes, check here, here, or here or here.

This time we are offering the class at our new, lower price and including a BOSSLAB notebook with all the protocols and notes from the class included in it!

To sign up, click this link.  There are only six seats available, and registration is only open until April 2nd so grab them soon!

P.S. Our PCR hackathon is coming up this weekend! It is at 12 noon on April 24th at BOSSLAB.  If you are coming to this free event, please RSVP here so we can be prepared!
